ACTION SPORTS BUZZ: Dream Extreme Female Kiteboarding Clinic And Fundraiser

Guinness World Record holder and 9-time World Kiteboarding Champion Kristin Boese to host clinic to benefit victims of domestic violence.

Kiteboarding, the fastest growing water sport in the world, is a high adrenaline hybrid that pairs wind, waves and adroit boarding skills to create an incredibly addictive sport that is almost as enjoyable to watch as it is to dive into.  It’s also a sport that has seen a rapid rise of female pros like Kristin Boese, a world class athlete raised behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany who has risen to become the most dominant female athlete in the sport.  Now imagine learning the ropes from this 9-time world champion and getting  your feet wet so that the top kiting spots in the world like the Dominican Republic, Seychelles and British Virgin Islands become your next adventure.

From Sept. 24-26, Boese, already known for her groundbreaking work in the sport teaching young women in her KB4 Girls clinics, will be co-hosting Dream Extreme in East Hampton, NY, to benefit victims of domestic violence in New York City and East Hampton. Female participants can either try kiteboarding for the first time or improve their skills at this 2 day, hands-on clinic run by Kristin and her pro team.  It’s a natural for Kristin, who since 2003 has  worked with kiteboarding camps and clinics around the world, providing expert instruction, riding techniques and motivation to female kiters around the world in far-flung locales like Egypt, Australia, Sweden, Spain, the US and Germany.

“Kiteboarding completely changed my life,” said Boese. “I am inspired to give back by bringing the power of kiting to women worldwide through clinics. The artistry and skill involved in kiteboarding resonates with females in particular, and every smile, every success story, every happy kiter, gives me new motivation to spread the word of kiting further.”
