Beverly Hills Dazzles for the Holidays
Beverly Hills has always had a rather sparkly reputation that most people associate with glamour and glitz, world-class shopping, and celebrity-filled restaurants. But what you might not know is that The Golden Triangle becomes a warm and enchanting destination during the holidays with dazzling lights, decorations, music and festive events. And while Beverly Hills may not be a traditional choice for those on a budget, there are some surprising hotel deals right now that are making it even more accessible so you can celebrate the holidays 90210 style.
Right now, eleven Beverly Hills hotels are offering special “And To All a Free Night” packages (book two nights and receive a third night free), which include complimentary signature cocktails at each location. Enjoy holiday sippers like a “Melted Snowflake” at the Beverly Wilshire, a “Candycane Martini” at the Peninsula, or a “Red & Butter” cocktail at The Montage Beverly Hills, served upon arrival or anytime during your stay. Packages are available November 15 through January 10, 2010. For more information on the participating hotels, click here and look for “And to All a Free Night.”
While you’re in Beverly Hills, enjoy these festive holiday events:
Don’t miss the special holiday lighting ceremony and fireworks spectacular on the 200 block of Rodeo Drive when the Golden Triangle will come alive with twinkling lights, falling snowflakes, carolers, jugglers and artists. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand for complimentary photos. November 21 at 7 p.m.
Carolers and musicians set the shopping mood on the Via Rodeo, every Thursday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7p.m., while the 25-foot holiday tree and UNICEF crystal snowflake over the Beverly Wilshire continue to sparkle.
Foodies have several reasons to rejoice. On November 10, 11 and 12, the Cheese Store of Beverly Hills holds it annual Holiday Spectacular Tasting Event, which will include a selection of champagnes, cheeses and treats such as port, caviar, foie gras and truffles. The cost is $100 per person with reservations required.
