Cool Kayaks and Clear Waters
Wandermelon loves these fun transparent and collapsible kayaks from the Titanium Adventure Company. The Napali is the world’s only transparent foldable kayak, weighing in at just 26 lbs, this little gem’s innovative design allows it to fold up small enough to fit into a backpack and is on display in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The see-through Molokini, two-persons kayak, is made from the same polycarbonate material used to make bulletproof glass and fighter jet canopies, so have no fear if you happen to come face to face with a great white shark swimming beneath your personal glass-bottomed boat—he’ll be able to look, but not bite.
But buyer beware, vision and security don’t come cheap, the Molokini will run you $2,199, while the Napali is priced at $7,999. Forget putting your money into retirement, we say live dangerously!
