Jo’burg to New York Non-Stop Flight
South African Airways starts new direct flight May 15th, which reduces travel time by 90 minutes.
There is great news on the horizon for travelers heading to and from South Africa! South African Airways (SAA), Africa’s most prestigious airline, officially launches its new non-stop round-trip service between New York and South Africa. The only flight of its kind, this new non-stop flight from Johannesburg to New York complements the already popular morning non-stop New York-Johannesburg service that provides speedy, convenient connections to more than 40 exotic destinations throughout the heart of Africa. Previously, the SAA flight from Johannesburg to New York required a 1-hour passenger and refueling stop in Dakar, Senegal, not one of the most glamorous destinations, that’s for sure.
Effective immediately, SAA flight SA203 now departs Johannesburg at 8:35 p.m. for a non-stop journey to New York that arrives at 6:40 a.m. the following day, allowing for a full night’s sleep on their amazing, fully reclining 5-star comfort-rated, 180-degree, fully-flat sleeper seats in their prestigious and award-winning Business Class. The new flight schedule shaves the 90 minutes off the travel time, and allows even easier connections from throughout more of Africa. In addition, when arriving in New York City, there are even more connection choices with a number of airlines, especially with their code share partners like JetBlue Airway and United Airlines, which can take passengers to points throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. The enhanced connections are coupled with impeccable service. In addition, Economy Class, passengers enjoy the most legroom of any airline to Africa, with a 33”-34” pitch at every seat.
Finally some good news from the airline industry!
