The Maroon Bells, a set of peaks reaching over 14,000 feet, are a much-loved landmark in Aspen, Colorado. The preserved wilderness area offers mountain adventures that range from technical climbing routes for skilled mountaineers to gentle hikes for everyone else.
Location
These famous peaks are located in the Elk Mountains in White River National Forest just minutes from the town of Aspen. Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness contains 300 square miles of rugged mountains, meadows, lakes, creeks and waterfalls.
