Saving the Serengeti

Acclaimed author and top photographer Boyd Norton has drawn from his forty-five years of traveling into the wilds to create a beautiful photography book entitled Serengeti: The Eternal Beginning. Throughout the book, Norton recalls his experiences exploring the captivating land of the Serengeti while his striking photographs capture the history, people, animals and the great migration of this ecosystem. Through his eyes and voice, you will understand why the Serengeti one of the most fascinating places in the world.

A proposed building of highways and an airport will place many of Serengeti’s inhabitants in jeopardy. Norton addresses this issue in the book and has taken action by starting a non-profit organization to safeguard the land. The Serengeti Watch is a strong coalition of support, advocacy and funding for the Serengeti ecosystem so this precious and sacred land will not be destroyed.

Serengeti: The Eternal Beginning will be released in October 2011 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. A significant portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Serengeti Watch organization.
