U.S. Airlines Rank Last in Food and Service
Unquestionably, airlines have been forced to cut corners in food and service to save on costs. But according to seatguru.com’s recent survey, American, United and US Airways definitely need to step it up. Over 1,600 fliers were polled and United ranked as having the rudest flight attendants and the least comfortable seats. Meals served worldwide on US Airways, United, and American were voted the worst of the bunch.
Maybe the US carriers should take notes from Singapore Airlines. SA was the clear winner with the highest rating for in-flight meals, most comfy business-class seats, and flight attendant politeness. According the the survey, JetBlue is the only American airline considered to have comfortable seats. Southwest attendants also scored hire for their service, while Continental was included along with Air France in the best meal category. One point airlines should listen to: Fliers are willing to pay for more room. Find out more before you fly here.
